Specialty Head Chef

Job description:
• Creating a rich Korean/Japanese cuisine menu with various main recipes and ingredients;
• Learning and preparing all of existing menu-line;
• Selecting fresh meats, seafoods, produce and all other ingredients to make high-quality dishes;
• Adding additional flavors to sushi rolls with ginger, rice vinegar, wasabi and soy sauce, when appropriate
• Managing food prep activities;
• Coordinating with other cooks and wait staff to ensure proper cooking, considering special requests and food allergies;
• Preparing appetizers, soups and side dishes that are close to the philosophy of Korean cuisine;
• Monitoring food stock and placing orders, as needed;
• Creating ad recommending new, modern and appealing recipes;
• Maintaining hygiene principles in all cooking areas and clean kitchen space at the end of the shift;
• Performing other duties as assigned.
Job requirements:
• Must have at least 5 years of experience in preparing and creating authentic Korean and Japanese cuisine, or related experience.
